The final product of oil refining is the carbon rich solid, derived from the cracking processes. Used in manufacturing aluminum, steel, glass, paint, fertilizer and a number of fuels, it is also used in power generation and other industries as fuel. 

This fuel is mostly the green coke, or fuel-grade coke. Almost 80% of world’s petroleum coke production is this green coke. Usually, green coke is blended, and pet coke can be stored in 32 states.
