Referred to as distilled fuel or marked oil, it is used as fuel for engines with lesser RPM, lesser than 750 or so. LDO is a blend of components that are results of the distillation of crude. Boilers, furnaces, fertilizers, pump sets used in lift irrigation, pre-heaters, bunkers can all use LDO as a fuel, and three aren’t many regulations around this fuel. However, it would always be prudent to use LDO with superior quality just to improve efficiency.

Used as an efficient fuel for steam boilers, power plants, and industrial plants, the Furnace oil is also called the fuel oil. Residues from distilling crude oil makes up for the majority of its composition. When blended with different petro-chemical fractions, the fuel oil produced different fuels at desired viscosity and flash point.
